I am happy with Excel overall. It helps me keep all different aspects of my life and business organized into clean customizable spreadsheets.
Vorteile
It is fairly easy to use and to learn how to use. It can be used to take information exported from other programs into one universal format. Easy to customize them to the look and format that works for your workflow. I use it for everything from budget spreadsheet to inventory of equipment for photography business, that I can use to keep organized and to send to my insurance company for business insurance.
Nachteile
Some of the formula and more advanced stuff takes a while to learn. I just take learning Excel a little at a time and it is manageable.

Vorteile
I use Excel almost on a daily basis. I like many things about it, but some of my favorite features are the ability to quickly create charts and graphs and the ability to perform quick calculations. I also like the fact that Excel is very user-friendly and with advanced features that are easy to learn.
Nachteile
Sometimes the auto-formatting can be disadvantageous, for example in my case it auto-formats "Gene Names" into dates.
